Now for the fun part, and the possibilities are limitless depending on the size of your budget. Beginning with plants and flowers, you can landscape for a maintenance-free look or, if you've got a green thumb, you can use your pool as the center of a lush and beautiful garden. And your pool's decking is literally an empty canvas. Concrete can be plain, colored and/or stamped with a textured design. You can add a brick or stone edge, or do the whole thing in brick or stone. Finally, lighting, the right furniture and a good sound system add the finishing touches.

You can do this yourself or talk to a landscape designer. And of course, you don't need to accomplish all of this at once, but with each improvement, your pool will become more and more the focal point of your family's activities.
